It’s not every day that Panasonic brings a giant arachnid to life… actually this is the very first time we can make such a seemingly far-out claim. Then along came the ‘Arcadia Spectacular’ at Glastonbury Festival and their requirement for a giant mechanical spider as the centrepiece for an audio visual experience set to a soundtrack from some of the UK’s finest bass DJs including Andy C, Fatboy Slim, Ratpack, Plump DJs and more. Panasonic helped bring the show to life by providing six of its finest 20,000 lumen DLP projectors which were located in three areas to beam vibrant coloured textures, geometrically mapped images and excitement building info such as a countdown onto the legs of the nearly 10 meter high spider.
