Back in 2012, we matched out Toughpad against the mighty fist of a brick-breaking karate master (watch the video on YouTube). For our latest act of torture, we subjected the new Toughpad to a ‘house of horrors’ obstacle course that took testing to a whole new extreme (watch the video on YouTube). Toughpad Torture – Then VS Now
The FZ-A1 is placed under 10 bricks while the FZ-E1 gets ready for the ride of its life.
The karate master stares down the Toughpad brick pile while our latest model flies through the air.

And pow! A lethal fist smashes through 10 bricks while the other Toughpad is kidnapped by a drone.
The karate master delves into the wreckage but today’s model still has to face a trial by fire.
