We’re delighted to announce the release of a new semi-rugged Toughbook. The Panasonic Toughbook CF-53 Notebook delivers powerful desktop computing for mobile workers where a standard commercial-grade laptop does not provide sufficient durability.
Replacing the popular Toughbook CF-52, the new model is drop-resistant, spill-resistant and is tested to nine MIL-STD-810G tests, in a 2.6 kilogram body that also delivers up to 10 hours of battery life. It’s powered by a second generation Intel® Core™ i5-2520M vPro™ processor for impressive performance – and it supports Wi-Fi and optional 3G mobile broadband.
The Toughbook CF-53 notebook is ideal for professionals who need a unit that offers performance on the desktop as well as rugged strength, wireless connectivity and lightweight mobility – in industries such as:
- Telecommunications
- Automotive Diagnostics
- Engineering
- Surveying
It has a high-definition 14-inch LED LCD screen for easy viewing in the office or the workshop. There’s also a version with a 1,000nit sunlight-viewable touch screen for users who expect to spend more time in bright outdoor conditions.
“The new Toughbook CF-53 is designed to improve productivity and maximise return on investment. Panasonic’s heritage in rugged manufacturing makes this the leading semi- rugged solution on the market,” said Damien Lee, Toughbook Product Manager – Panasonic Australia.
