The LUMIX DMC-GH3 is a camera for serious photographers who want to take their professional videography to the next level with a portable interchangeable lens camera. A TIPA jury spokesman highlighted some of the many impressive specs of the camera like 16MP Live MOS sensor which boasts sensitivity up to ISO 12,800 with +1EV push capability, sophisticated noise filtration and suppression and a newly designed low-pass filter for enhanced low light shooting results. Improved AF performance was also noted along with faster start-up and shorter shutter time lag.
The LUMIX DMC-FT5, a camera for photographers who demand the ultimate in rugged still and video shooting, impressed the TIPA jury for many reasons. The fact that it is waterproof to a depth of 13 metres, shockproof from a height of 2 metres, pressure resistant to 100kg and freeze-proof to -10C, all helped the camera earn the ‘Best Rugged Compact Camera’ award.
Meanwhile, the SDHC Gold, Silver and Blue series memory cards scooped the ‘Best Imaging Storage Media’ award due to their “ability to exactly match their budget and camera with their memory card usage and needs”, according to a TIPA jury spokesperson.
