The Panasonic HC V520M camcorder was recently reviewed in Auscam Magazine by David Hague, with the author noting that this model is “small enough for the dedicated traveler and very large on features and innovation.”
As a sports fan, Hague talks how much he appreciates a decent zoom and goes on to say that “Panasonic has obviously realised this in terms of the video world and released the HC-V520M, a single CMOS hi-def camcorder that will sit easily in the palm of your hand, but sports a genuine 50x optical zoom and an “intelligent” 80x.” He also praises the camcorder’s “5 axis optical stabilisation system and a brilliant “level shot” function to detect and correct images shot with a tilt.”
Hague also found the Wi-Fi and NFC (Near Field Communication) features to be noteworthy, especially for the ability to utilise Real Time Broadcasting and connect to the internet and transmit full HD footage for others to watch as you shoot in real time. He concludes by stating that “this really is a very good camcorder; there was little to fault it in testing. At $599 I’d rate this as an excellent buy.”
