While the benefits of tablets in the workplace are clear; at their best, the ease of use and versatility are undoubtedly improving workplace productivity. However recent research into tablet failure has revealed that businesses were paying a high price for the introduction of tablets in the workplace, with 47 per cent of users experiencing tablet failures in the last 2 years. Those with tablet troubles experienced an average of three failures during this period, and an average repair or replacement time of two weeks. This research suggests that many organisations are making mistakes with their tablet strategy and attempting to utilise consumer tablets for work purposes.
