World’s smallest 50,000 lumens, 4K+ projector showcased in Australia

Panasonic’s state-of-art, 4K+ laser projector (PT-RQ50K) was previewed for the first time in Australia, to leading staging and rental companies at Audio Visual Events in Sydney on the 21st of August.

The flagship PT-RQ50K model is the world’s first single body 50,000 lumens, 3-Chip DLP SOLID SHINE™ laser projector with True 4K resolution, built to create unmatched experiences across live events and themed entertainment productions.

Panasonic’s Visual Solutions team in conjunction with Audio Visual Events, one of Australia’s leading AV production and equipment suppliers, demonstrated the outstanding capabilities of the projector including its vibrant and powerful colour reproduction, impressive brightness and razor sharp detail – producing eye-catching visuals for a truly immersive audience experience.

Paul Keating, General Manager – Audio Visual Events, said: “Panasonic is one of Audio Visual Events’ most important partners. Their focus on leading edge technology and outstanding technical support has been critical to the growth of our relationship that spans almost a decade. Hosting a showcase for Panasonic’s new RQ50 projector was AVE’s opportunity to repay that support and bring together industry peers and professionals.”

As the Official Projection Technology of the Walt Disney World® Resort and Disneyland® Resort, Panasonic first showcased the PT-RQ50K 4K+ projector during featured clips of select Disney attractions and experiences, including Frozen Ever After and Na’vi River Journey at InfoComm 2019.

“Panasonic has set a new benchmark in projection technology with the introduction of the PT-RQ50K projector. We set out to push boundaries and deliver a premium, all-in-one solution for businesses – and I’m delighted to say the PT-RQ50K achieves this and more. It’s very exciting to get this world-class product in front of leading Australian staging companies and help them create an audience experience like no other,” said Peter Huljich, General Manager – Media & Entertainment and Business Communication.

The PT-RQ50K 3-Chip DLP SOLID SHINE™ 4K+ Laser Projector is set for release in Australia in December 2019.

Panasonic Reveals the PT-RQ50K Projector at InfoComm 2019:

50,000 Lumens of Brightness

Designed for exceptional performance, the PT-RQ50K is a high-lumen, powerful projector which brings images and videos to life, producing rich and bold content.

Native 4K+ Resolution

The PT-RQ50K projector achieves better than 4k resolution for stunning image quality, clarity and detail. Say goodbye to visible stair-stepping or pixel gaps.

Accurate Colour with 3-Chip DLP SOLID SHINE™

Combining 3-Chip DLP imaging with Panasonic’s original SOLID SHINE™ Laser technology, the PT-RQ50K guarantees crisp images with rich colours on every occasion.

Durable with up to 20,000 Hours of Maintenance-free Projection

Reliability is further enhanced with dual solid-state drives and backup video inputs, while the projector’s hermetically sealed optics and filter-less design contribute to up to 20,000 hours of maintenance-free projection, even in severe and challenging situations.

All-in-one Compact Body for Easier Workflow

The PT-RQ50K is the smallest projector of its kind on the market, meaning simplified transport and installation – especially important when working under time constraints. A single PT-RQ50K offers incomparable potential as multiple lower brightness projectors, eliminating the need to stack projectors.
