To really get the inside scoop on how tough a Toughbook has to be to make the grade, we spoke to Jason Lee, Product Marketing Manager, Toughbook, Panasonic Australia.

What is done to ensure that Toughbooks are impact and shock resistant?

“Toughbooks and Toughpads go through rigorous testing, both at Panasonic’s testing facility and factory in Kobe, Japan, and also by independent third party test labs,” Jason said.

“There are varying degrees of ruggedness within our product range, and the level of drop testing is determined by these broad categories; Business Rugged, Semi Rugged, Fully Rugged. Panasonic’s commitment to quality is unrivaled, with more than 500 checks and tests conducted on every unit throughout the manufacturing process.”
