Terms & Conditions of entry

1. Information on how to claim and details of the Bonus Product (as defined below) form part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in the offer is deemed to constitute acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

2. The offer is open to Australian residents. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to claim, (“Claimant”). Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child, or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.

3. Claimants under 18 years old must have parental/guardian approval to claim and further, the parent/guardian of the Claimant must read and consent to these Terms and Conditions. Parents/guardians may be required by the Promoter to enter into a further agreement as evidence of consent to the minor submitting a claim in this offer.

4. The offer commences on 23 May 2024 and closes for purchases at 11:59pm (AEST) 30 September 2024 (“Purchase Period”). Claims open 23 May 2024 and close at 11:59pm (AEDT) 31 October 2024 (for online claims) (“Claim Period”).

5. This Promotion is subject to stock availability.

6. This Promotion applies to the purchase of the following LUMIX S9 bodies or kits (“Eligible Product”):


7. The Bonus Product for eligible claims consists of one (1) S-R26E, LUMIX S 26MM F8 LENS (“Bonus Product”).

8. To be eligible to submit a claim, Claimants must purchase a new Eligible Product, from any authorised retail outlet (either in-store or online) in Australia during the eligible Purchase Period. Refurbished, second-hand Eligible Products or purchases made from non-approved retailers (either in-store or online) are excluded from this offer. A Claimant must have fully paid for the Eligible Product before they are eligible to submit a claim.

9. To claim, a Claimant must then undertake the following steps:

  1. Connect to https://www.panasonic.com.au/warranty/, then log in to their My Panasonic account (or join My Panasonic) and complete, in full, the official online product registration form for the Eligible Product – including providing personal information, valid serial number and proof of purchase of the Eligible Product.
  2. Submit the online registration form during the Claim Period.
  3. The claimant will then receive an email from the Promoter confirming whether their claim is valid.

10. Under the offer, eligible Claimants can claim one (1) Bonus Product per Eligible Product purchased. Each claim must be associated with a separate purchase of an Eligible Product and each claim must be submitted separately and in accordance with the claim instructions.

11. The Recommended Retail Value (RRP) of the Bonus Product is AUD$349 RRP.

12. Delivery of the Bonus Product will only be made to valid addresses.

13. The Promoter shall not be liable for any claim form that is made to the wrong address.

14. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for:

  • Any error, omission, interruption, or delay in the operation or transmission of any communication sent to (or by) the Promoter or any Claimant whether caused by problems with communication networks or lines, computer systems, software, or internet service providers, congestion on any carrier network or otherwise;
  • Any problem with, or technical malfunction of, any computer system, internet malfunction, or other equipment used for the conduct of the Promotion or prevents the Participant from entering the Promotion;
  • Any incorrect or incomplete information which may be communicated in the course of the administering of this Promotion (whether as a result of one of the foregoing causes or otherwise); or
  • Any delay in delivery (when not directly caused by the Promoter), or failure of safe delivery of the Bonus Product.

15. The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

16. Nothing in these terms and conditions limits, excludes, or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the State and Territories of Australia (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees, and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the offer.

17. Once the Claimant has submitted their claim and provided proof of purchase, the claim will be verified within five (5) working days. 

18. The Bonus Product is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

19. Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the Claimant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used. The use of any automated claim software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows a Claimant to automatically claim repeatedly is prohibited and will render all claims submitted by that Claimant invalid.

20. If this offer is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any Claimant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the offer, as appropriate.

21. The Promoter collects personal information (“PI”) in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such PI to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this PI. The Promoter will also use and handle PI as set out in its Privacy Policy, which can be viewed at www.panasonic.com/au/privacy-policy. The Privacy Policy also contains information about how claimants may opt out, access, update or correct their PI, how claimants may complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles or any other applicable law and how those complaints will be dealt with. All entries become the property of the Promoter. Unless otherwise indicated by the Promoter, the Promoter may disclose claimant’s PI entities outside of Australia (for a list of the countries, see the Promoter’s Privacy Policy), and cannot guarantee that any overseas recipient will not breach the Australian Privacy Principles. By entering the promotion claimants’ consent to the overseas transfer on these terms as permitted by the Australian Privacy Principles and agree that the Promoter is not liable in this regard.

22. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of claims and Claimant’s (including a claimant’s identity, age and place of residence) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the claim process including but not limited to postage and handling costs or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the offer. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for lost, misplaced or deleted Bonus Products.
