Panasonic is shaping a new way to communicate

cordless-PRW120

The new Panasonic KX-PRW120 cordless phone is designed for today’s modern and hyper-connected household.

It works hand in hand with smartphones and tablets with a very clever ‘Smartphone Connect’ app (a free download for iOS and Android devices) that enables you to make and receive calls via your smart devices. The whole family can take advantage of this feature, as up to four mobile devices can be registered via Wi-Fi to the base unit.

Smartphones and tablets that are connected to the KX-PRW120 can even work in tandem with the handset to enable functions such as an intercom mode, call transfer, and three-party conference calls. It can also be used as a baby monitor; the unit in a child’s room will  call automatically to a handset in another room if a noise such as a baby crying is detected.

This innovative phone also boasts an ultra-modern look that will satisfy even the most discerning user. Made from premium materials, the KX-PRW120 features a sleek black, white and chrome design, with stylish lay-down handset and a beautiful colour screen to harmonise with the any sophisticated interior.

  • Would be great if the released the additional handset KX-PRWA10 in Australia! Not everyone want to use Smartphone connect.

  • Hi Andrew, you can now purchase the KX-PRWA10AZW, it was released last week into Australia.

  • So far there is no plan to release a Mobile Connect app for Windows Phone, but we have submitted your request and we will keep trying to enlarge the capabilities to further operating systems.

  • Hi Anna, The main base unit of KX-PRW120AZW is already a Wi-Fi extender itself and covers the area of a normal home. The additional handsets do not further extend the range.

  • Hi Shaun, your retailer will be able to assist you with getting hold of some additional handsets: KX-PRWA10.

  • My retailer is not very good at assisting with special orders. I would rather order it online like I can with Uniden phone accessories.

  • If you cannot provide it to me, can you please tell me a retailer that will send one to me?

I don’t know why you guys make it difficult to purchase accessories. Isn’t it your business to sell products rather than making it hard for people? It appears that it is easier in the UK.

  • Hi,

I have recently purchased a competitors brand as it had everything I wanted in a Cordless phone, button dial on the base station, battery back up and bluetooth. However the quality of the sound is not good.

I was looking at Panasonic phones that have the same features set and I have found one. It is rated No.1 on Amazon.com for Cordless phones but as the USA phone specturm is not compatible with ours imagine my luck when I found a virtually identical product on the Panasonic New Zealand website.

It is listed on the Panasonic New Zealaned website and has the model number KX-TG7827AZS. Downloading the manual it lists Australia in the manual, and seems it is made for both markets.

When will Panasonic Australia be releasing that model here as I want to purchase it. (Please tell me soon)

If not do you forsee any issues importing it from New Zealand considering the manual mentions it is made for both markets with an “Australian Setup” mode.

  • Just received my new Panasonic kx-prw120, don’t like it, clunky OS, cheap feel handset doesn’t power down at all. The “smart phone connect app” should be called “I Phone and Android connect app” as there is no windows app free or paid available that I can find. Should have read these comments before buying, as we have 7 excellent OS smart devices in the house and they are not apple or android. The Panasonic is a costly advertising genius’s phrase misuse mistake. Panasonic user friendliness/ value for money isn’t as good as it used to be.

  • I have purchased this phone. Not very happy that I cannot buy the additional handset. My retailer has told me it’s not available ATM that was after him speaking to panasonic rep. Would be really nice if accessories were released at the same time of phone. I would have thought panasonic would have been more on the ball.

  • Hi Jason, sorry at this stage there are no additional handsets in Panasonic’s stock. A retailer could certainly order this on your behalf as we are regularly receiving stock. Cheers

  • I too have purchased this phone and also found retailers reticent to order additional handsets. I did, however speak to a Panasonic rep who said that the retailer simply has to make a call to order them and that a shipment is due in the next week or so.

However, according to the manual (pp33-4), it seems that you can simply purchase additional regular handset+bases and simply have them connect to just one base. Am I reading the manual right and can this be done?

Also, can you please tell me the RRP of the KX-PRWA10 units?

    Cheers.

  • Don’t bother with trying to order an additional handset – all the retailers I spoke to refused to try. Easiest solution is to just buy another unit and follow the instructions in the manual (page 34) to turn off one of the base units and then connect its handset to the other. Easy.

  • I bought the base unit KX-PRW120AZW from Myer earlier this year. I went back last week to buy an additional handset and they said they don’t range them and their buyers refuse to order one on my behalf. Would someone from Panasonic please advise where I can order one.
