I have a DMR-BW 750. Can this unit be upgraded to play MP4, as I cannot play some Divx and Mp4 movies that I have downloaded and try to play back via USB stick.

In reply to Rod Smith. Hi Rod, unfortunately to play a Disc on the DMR-BW880 requires the disc to be formatted to the machine. Doing this will erase the information from your computer. Sorry to disappoint! MCB

Hi Panasonic,

Have a DMR-BW880 and want to play mpeg4 movies recorded on my computer.

When I attempt to play a disc the unit says not compatible.

Is it possible to enhance my model to play these movies?

In reply to Geoff. Hi Geoff, your player can be enhanced to play all region DVDs and within the warranty period this is a free service. Unfortunately, Blu-Ray will be locked to the Australian region code and this is unable to be modified - but our region code means all material is available through the Australian or the European market. Upon reading your blog I am a little confused.
I currently have a BD home theatre system but was think of upgrading to your las test and better model
Will it play all region DVD’s and Blu Ray or will I need to have it modified?
I am in a regional country town, so this would be difficulty
