The curved display was designed and built at our Panasonic factory precisely to the installation requirements so it fits into the ceiling space.

22-metre customised digital panel adds excitement to customer shopping experience

Shoppers using the travelators at the new look Macquarie Centre in Sydney’s North Ryde are being transported into an exciting visual world created by a 22-metre curved LED digital signage display from Panasonic.

As customers travel along, the ceiling-mounted display shows ever-changing overhead effects that take advantage of its unusual location.

Peter Huljich, Panasonic Group Manager, Panels and Projectors, said: “This curved configuration at the Macquarie Centre is a first for Panasonic in Australia.”

“Our strategy is to provide customised solutions for business. The display was built precisely to the installation requirements at our Panasonic Corp. factory. Modular 800mm x 800mm LED panels were manufactured with a curved design to fit into the ceiling space and then shipped to North Ryde, where they were installed in time for the opening of the first stage of the revamped centre.

“These panels have a very fine 6mm pitch, allowing us to deliver the high-resolution, immersive experience the client was looking for.”

The panels support the Centre’s complete digital signage solution that provides both the ‘wow factor’ and point of difference for the shopper and also the versatility to change images and messages instantly as the Centre requires – from stunning graphics to advertising and store messages.
