The 2013 Panasonic camcorder line-up is comprised of the HC-X920M, HC-VT720M, HC-V520M, HC-V210M, HC-V110 and the HX-WA30. This new range boasts a host of features introducing new levels of performance and functionality. It offers built-in Wi-Fi® functionality across a number of models, allowing Live View control from a smartphone and enabling real-time, plus the introduction of automatic detection and correction for tilting images further improves shooting results.
Built in Wi-Fi
Built-in Wi-Fi on the HC-X920M, HC-V720M and HC-V520M enables real time broadcasting of events via Ustream, while recording images in Full HD. By downloading the dedicated Panasonic Image App, users can remotely check audio recording, zoom in/out and shutter on/off, while viewing the live image on a smartphone or tablet. Users can talk to their family while viewing them on a smartphone screen and record images remotely. The HC-V720M and HC-V520M also include Near Field Communication (NFC), for conveniently connecting a smartphone or tablet to a camcorder in one touch.
Outstanding shoot-assist features
The 2013 Panasonic camcorder range features Panasonic’s trademark iA (Intelligent Auto) mode. When iA is engaged, the camcorder automatically selects the most suitable shooting mode with the press of a button for impressive images and movies every time.
The HC-X920, HC-V720M and HC-V520M include HYBRID O.I.S+, with five-axis correction for blur-free images, Level Shot for tilt correction, and a convenient touch LCD with touch zoom, shutter and playback. The HC-V210M offers POWER OIS for hand-shake correction, while the HC-V110 incorporates an image stabiliser.
Impressive image quality
The flagship camcorder of the 2013 Panasonic lineup is the HC-X920M. Powered by the 3MOS System Pro, this model produces Full-HD video with breathtaking colour, detail and gradation. It has a bright, F1.5, 29.8mm wide-angle LEICA Dicomar lens with 12x optical zoom, ideal for capturing everything from panoramic scenery to telephoto images. A 3.5-inch 1152K-dot touch LCD allows precise operation.
All camcorders across the new range offer 1920 x 1080/50p Full-HD video and deliver improved image quality in low light conditions such as indoors or at night, so users can record clear, bright images.
The HC-V720M features a 28mm wide-angle lens*1 and a 21x optical zoom. The HC-V520M has an intelligent 80x zoom, and an optical 50x zoom for powerful shooting of distant subjects. The HC-V210M and HC-V110 feature a 38x zoom to fit an expansive landscape into the frame, with F1.8 brightness to allow shooting in dim lighting situations.
Active, outdoor performer
The HX-WA30 shoots 1920 x 1080 Full HD movies and 16 megapixel still images and offers a 5x optical zoom, as well as a 28mm wide-angle lens that is great for group shots and 360 degrees dynamic panorama.
This innovative camcorder delivers a swag of tough and creative features. A 0.5-second Quick Start guarantees the camcorder never misses a moment. The Active Image Stabiliser delivers stunning blur-free footage, while the high-sensitivity BSI MOS sensor is enhanced to shoot clear images even in dimly-lit places. The widescreen LCD rotates through 285 degrees, making it easy to see the subject, and brightness can be adjusted in seven levels.
