Panasonic is proud to announce the launch of the exciting 2012 range of Lumix cameras and camcorders, adding even more flexibility and ingenuity to your photographic and video creations. We will be posting more in-depth descriptions of each new model over the coming days but for the moment, we thought we would whet your appetite with this sneak-peak of the new range.

The release of two new super-zoom models with Full-HD video recording solidifies the TZ series’ reputation as outstanding travel cameras.

DMC-TZ30

This 14.1 megapixel beauty covers every shooting situation. It features a high-quality Leica lens, notable for its powerful 20x Optical Zoom and 24mm* (35mm equivalent) ultra wide-angle of view. A newly developed high-sensitivity MOS sensor and Venus engine provide outstanding image clarity, while the built-in Advanced GPS (with world map information) will help you remember where every amazing shot was taken.

DMC-TZ25

The 12.1 megapixel TZ25 also houses a fantastic Leica lens within its slim body, featuring a 16x Optical Zoom and 24mm ultra wide-angle view. Packed with a host of optical and digital technologies, this camera is ideal for both travelling and everyday life.

Both cameras also feature:

Slim and stylish SZ series deliver creative results

With a 14.1 megapixel MOS sensor, this clever camera is designed for fast, impressive imaging and movie capture. In addition to Full-HD movie capture, it also offers 3D photo mode and a stunning range of creative effects.

DMC-SZ1

By combining a 16.1 megapixel CCD sensor and Venus Engine for high quality signal processing, the DMC-SZ1 is able to excel in the recording of beautiful photos and HD videos.

Tough new Lumix FT models survive life’s extremes

Amazing adventures need a camera that can cope in the most extreme environments and the two new Lumix FT models really know how to ‘do it tough’.

DMC-FT4

This ultra rugged compact camera is 12m water, 2m shock, -10 degrees freeze and dust proof. Advanced imaging is provided by a 12.1 megapixel high-speed CCD sensor and 28mm wide-angle lens, with 4.6x Optical Zoom. It also incorporates Full-HD video recording and an incredibly sophisticated GPS system, along with a compass, altimeter and barometer to record the most precise location data.

DMC-FT20

5m water, 1.5 shock, -10 degrees freeze and dust proof, this tough camera can survive the elements. A 25mm wide-angle lens with 4x Optical Zoom also ensures the camera’s optical performance won’t let you down, while HD video recording lets you capture your adventures in motion.
