Toughbook Tech Forums travel to Brisbane and Darwin-HERO

Toughbook Tech Forums recently held in Brisbane (19th July 2016), Darwin (21st July 2016) and Canberra (4th August 2016) offered an opportunity for our customers and channel partners to participate in thought leadership around the benefits of rugged mobility computing, explore the latest Toughbook product roadmap information and gain insight into where the latest industry technology trends are heading. The Tough Forums successfully brought our valued end-user customers and channel partners together, along with key industry leaders for valuable information sharing sessions.

Important outcomes of the July 2016 Toughbook Tech Forums

  • We were able broaden our clients knowledge base to better understand the environment in which we work and the evolving challenges that constantly arise.
  • We got the chance to showcase Panasonic’s new range of rugged IT devices.
  • We presented research showing that up to 8 out of 10 organisations have mobile workers, 8 out of 10 mobile devices are exposed to stressors in the field, and 7 out of 10 consumer devices that fail in the field, fail in a protective case.
  • We showed that for every $1 spent replacing a failed device in the field, businesses incur $4 in costs including lost productivity, replacement devices, imaging, asset tagging, delivery and setup.
  • Most importantly, the Tech Forums helped us to demonstrate support for our loyal channel partner and reseller base that have more than doubled their sales in the last two years against a declining hardware market.

Toughbook research and development activities are directly linked to customer needs; the people who buy and use our mobile computers are the ones who heavily influence product development decisions.

It’s through initiatives such as the Toughbook Tech Forums that we are able to build strong customer relationships, and manufacture strong mobile computers that meet the demands of our customer’s mission critical environments.
