Panasonic Blu-Ray Home Theatre Systems

Panasonic Blu-ray Home Theatre Systems raise the bar in Home Theatre entertainment

Panasonic has unveiled its 2010 line-up of Blu-ray Home Theatre Systems- the SC-BT737, SC-BT337 and SC-BT230.

The Panasoncic SC-BT737

All the new models use advanced proprietary cinema surround technology for a remarkably authentic home theatre experience, and also incorporate a wealth of networking and connectivity capabilities.

The key features of the new models are as follows:

True To Cinema Sound

The new True to Cinema sound reproduces a realistic movie theatre surround experience. By using a combination of real speakers and ‘virtual’ speakers, the listener will be enveloped in smooth, natural surround sound. Especially effective in action scenes such as a car chase, this gives the feeling of sitting in the centre of a movie theatre. The top-of-the-line SC-BT737 delivers exceptional sound quality with Pure Direct Sound speakers for front speakers and advanced bamboo cone speakers for the centre and front speakers. The slim speaker box reduces unwanted reflection from the baffle and delivers high quality, pure direct sound. The SC-BT337 and SC-BT230 are equipped with advanced bamboo cone speakers for the center speaker, resulting in more responsive sounds and pure and clear vocals. The SC-BT737 and SC-BT337 include a Kelton-type subwoofer which, due to its distinctive design, drives a powerful reverberating bass in spite of its small, compact size.

Connectivity

For easy set-up and clutter-free layout, the SC-BT737 and SC-BT337 offer wireless rear speakers right out of the box. Simply connect the rear speakers to the included Wireless Receiver Unit, which receives radio wave transmission from the main unit. The SC-BT230 offers rear wireless speaker capability with purchase of the optional SH-FX71 Wireless Kit for Rear Speakers. The new models are compatible with Audio Return Channel (ARC). This simplifies connection, by now allowing audio signals to be sent from your TV with ARC capability back to your Home Theatre System using the same HDMI connection that sends audio/video signals to the TV.

Viera Cast and DNLA capability

All models feature VIERA CAST, DLNA capability, BD-Live, and are Wireless LAN ready. By connecting these devices to the internet, users can view videos on YouTube, Web-based photos on Picasa, stock information on Bloomberg and weather forecasts via VIERA CAST. BD-Live also allows Blu-ray Disc bonus content to be downloaded and Internet games to be played. With a Wireless LAN Adaptor plugged into the USB terminal, online content can be enjoyed wirelessly by accessing your Wireless LAN router.

iPod Ready

All the models come equipped with a Universal Dock for iPod/iPhone, perfect for users who want to play their favourite music. Furthermore, they also include the convenient connectivity of a USB port, and an SD Memory Card slot which can be used to view photos and videos taken with a digital still camera or camcorder.

  • I have a 480, for no reason the remote stopped working. Only the top righthand corner buttons work, which is tv only functionality. For some reason and DVD recorder functionality won’t work, I have to switch power on from unit, however the remote allows me to turn on tv. I changed batteries, no luck and followed the trouble- shooting in my instructions, no luck. Have pushed the power button and DVD 1, 2, 3 etc no display comes up

  • Hi Muzza,

If the remote code has been changed then when you press any button related to the recorder functions either DVD1, DVD2, or DVD3 could be displayed. If this is the case, press and hold the applicable number (displayed) and the OK button together for at least 5secs. This will set the code to the one displayed.

    Thanks,
    Team Panasonic
