Our fully rugged mobile computers are built and tested to exceed military standards (MIL-STD-810G)

MIL-STD-810G-1

We talk a lot about MIL-STD-810G (Military Standard) certification here at Panasonic, because it’s the standard that ensures our fully rugged Toughbooks and Toughpads are some of the most reliable mobile computers in the industry.

MIL-STD-810G is the standard developed by the US military to make sure that products designed for government use or in warzones meet a mission-critical level of ruggedness and reliability.

The incredibly exacting process of MIL-STD-810G is evaluation through chamber test methods that replicate the stressing environmental and climatic conditions the equipment will experience throughout its service life.

Our fully rugged Toughbooks and Toughpads are built to exceed the MIL-STD-810G requirements.

MIL-STD-810G-3

Our fully rugged Toughbooks and Toughpads are built to such high standards that we actually aim to exceed the MIL-STD-810G requirements. With this in mind, our technicians subject every unit to more than 500 checks and tests throughout the manufacturing process.

When our own rigorous internal testing process is complete, we send our fully rugged mobile computers to a third-party testing lab before they are declared MIL-STD-810G certified. What’s more, we make the results of the third-part test results and failure rate statistics publicly available – unlike most other rugged computer makers.

While some of our products go into warzones, the majority make their way into government and enterprise fields and the MIL-STD-810G certification is just as critical to those industries where deployment failure is not an option.
